The Smith Center provides age recommendations for children, based on show content, though you know what is most appropriate for your children. Based on the performance, children under the age of 5 may attend, but will require a ticket. Newer works and edgier plays are typically produced here, as well as most of The Barter Players’ productions. In this space a smaller, more intimate stage is ground level, while three-quarter stadium-style seating allows for a unique experience. No babes in arms. The Troesh Studio Theatre, while programmed to be a dance studio and orchestral rehearsal space, is highly adaptable and designed to be used for anything from rehearsal and small performances to parties and receptions. Troesh Studio Theatre and Cabaret Jazz are highly flexible spaces capable of seating up to 250 and 300 patrons, respectively. The material pallet of green terrazzo floors with complimentary Venetian plaster walls creates a more intimate environment, without sacrificing the feeling of quality. The lobbies features custom metal detailing, light fixtures and floor patterns thematically consistent with Reynolds Hall. To the west of Reynolds Hall, across the courtyard, is Boman Pavilion, which houses two smaller multi-purpose performance spaces: Troesh Studio Theatre and Cabaret Jazz.
